IND: Three year old girl sacrificed
A three-year-old Indian girl has been sacrificed in the southern Indian state of Andhra
Pradesh to appease a Hindu goddess and bring prosperity.
The Press Trust of India quoted police as saying that workers belonging to a stone quarry
abducted the victim from her mother's bedside and offered her as a blood sacrifice to the
Hindu goddess KALI.
The girl's decapitated body was found near a stone crushing machine which had been painted
with vermilion.
No arrests have been made.
