NSW: Teenager dies in collision on south coast

SYDNEY, Aug 24 AAP - A teenager driving a stolen car pursued by police died in a crash
with a petrol tanker on the NSW south coast overnight.

Police said the 18-year-old driver from Bombo died instantly when the Mazda RX7 burst
into flames.

About 12.30am, police at Kiama began following the yellow Mazda, which had been reported stolen.

The car, which was heading north, had collided with a southbound petrol tanker on the
Princes Highway, at Minnamurra.

The tanker driver escaped serious injury and was treated for shock.

Police were investigating the teenager's death.
